Carol Vorderman 'going back to quiz roots' as she announces 'exciting' new project

Carol Vorderman has thrilled fans as she announced her new project.

The former Countdown host has taken to Instagram to reveal she is "going back to her quiz roots". There has been speculation Carol could reprise her role on the classic Channel 4 show, but she has clarified the new project is a different TV show.

She said: "VERY busy day filming the first of a new project I AM VERY VERY EXCITED ABOUT... Going back to my quiz roots which I've always loved.....no not lovely Countdown but something new...starting in the New Year...
