Carol Vorderman has called for an immediate General Election after a group of MPs said former Prime Minister Boris Johnson lied about the 'Partygate' scandal. The Countdown legend, who lives in Clifton, made the proclamation on Twitter moments after the Privileges Committee published its report into Johnson's actions.
It is not the first time that she has slammed the Government and, in particular, the former PM. While appearing on Have I Got News for You last month, she described him as a "dose of diarrhoea that keeps on giving".
In June last year, she called for Boris to leave office in the wake of the resignation of Conservative party's co-chair Oliver Dowden. Carol said then: "As a mild non-political person never have I been more actively disgusted by a prime minister than this one. JUST GO NOW BORIS."

In her most recent political outburst today (June 15), she tweeted: "I've had enough, have you? GENERAL ELECTION NOW."
She included a link to Sky News' story on the recent parliamentary inquiry into partygate. The story is headlined: "Boris Johnson 'deliberately' misled MPs over partygate, report finds, and should be banned from parliament."
The inquiry has concluded that Boris Johnson's breaches were enough for a suspension of 90 days if he were still an MP. It also recommended that he should not be granted a former member's pass granting access to parliament.
