Carla Jeffery, the Disney Channel actress best known for playing Bree in the Zombies franchise, has died aged 33.
Her longtime management company confirmed she died on 1 September, prompting an outpouring of grief from her twin brother, former co-stars and fans. Her cause of death has not been disclosed. Here are 10 photos remembering the actress's life and career.

Jeffery's death was announced by Alexanders Talent Management, which had represented her since she was 12.
In a statement shared on Instagram, the agency said it was mourning its 'beloved Carla' and remembered her as a 'beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman' whose 'radiant smile could light up any room'.

'It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at just 33 years old,' the agency said.
It added: 'As Bree in Disney's hit ZOMBIES franchise, Carla shared her joy, humor, and bright spirit with audiences around the world. Carla was more than a client; she was family.'
The agency also asked for privacy for Jeffery's family and loved ones as they grieve.
Carlon Jeffery's Heartbreaking Text to His Twin
Jeffery's twin brother, actor Carlon Jeffery, shared an emotional tribute following her death, posting a screenshot of a message he had sent to his sister.
'Hey Sis,' the message began, before Carlon told Carla he was calling to see how her day had gone and said he loved her 'to the moon & back'.

Carlon is also a former Disney Channel actor, best known for playing Cameron Parks on A.N.T. Farm.

Castmates Pay Tribute
Jeffery's former Zombies co-stars have also mourned her death. Chandler Kinney, who played Willa, wrote on Instagram: 'This doesn't feel real,' while remembering Jeffery as 'the sweetest, most sparkly gal.'
Milo Manheim, who played Zed, shared a photo featuring Jeffery and wrote: 'Love you Carlaboo. The sweetest, kindest, most loving person.'
Trevor Tordjman, who played Bucky, shared two photos of Jeffery and wrote: 'Will never forget your energy. Truly one of a kind.'
Her Prom Pact co-star Charles Brockman III also paid tribute, writing: 'I can't believe this. I still haven't found words. One of the sweetest people who always showed up for me and everyone she loved.'

Carla Jeffery's Life And Career
Born on 10 July 1993 in Houston, Texas, Jeffery began acting at the age of 12. She later relocated to Los Angeles with her family.
Jeffery made her feature film debut in Phat Girlz in 2006 alongside Mo'Nique. She went on to appear in Southland, iCarly, Good Luck Charlie, Shake It Up!, Scream Queens, American Vandal, and HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Her defining role came with Disney's Zombies, where she played Bree, a Seabrook High cheerleader and friend of Addison, portrayed by Meg Donnelly. She reprised her role in Zombies 2 and Zombies 3, and later voiced Bree in Zombies: The Re-Animated Series.
Jeffery also appeared at the Los Angeles premiere of Disney's Prom Pact in 2023 and the Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires world premiere in 2025.
In an August 2025 interview, Jeffery reflected on seeing young Black girls connect with Bree. 'Young Black girls looking up to you? That's what I want to keep doing,' she said.
