Quarterback
- Josh Dobbs or Clayton Tune
The Cardinals have just the two quarterbacks on the roster. Dobbs is expected to start, but the team will not announce the starter before the game.
Running back
- James Conner
- Keaontay Ingram
- Emari Demercado
This is the expected depth chart.
Wide receiver
‘X’
- Marquise Brown
‘Z’
- Michael Wilson
- Zach Pascal
Slot
- Rondale Moore
- Greg Dortch
This is how we imagined the receiver room would look. Wilson is one of three rookies listed as a starter.
Tight end
- Zach Ertz
- Trey McBride
- Geoff Swaim
- Elijah Higgins
Ertz is expected to be ready to play on Sunday in his first game since tearing his ACL. Higgins was acquired on a waiver claim last week.
Offensive line
Left tackle
- D.J. Humphries
- Carter O’Donnell
Left guard
- Elijah Wilkinson
- Ilm Manning
Center
- Hjalte Froholdt
- Trystan Colon
Right guard
- Will Hernandez
- Keith Ismael
Right tackle
- Paris Johnson
- Kelvin Beachum
We will see which between Manning and Ismael is active on Sunday.
Defensive line
LDE
- L.J. Collier
- Dante Stills
NT
- Leki Fotu
- Kevin Strong
RDE
- Jonathan Ledbetter
- Carlos Watkins
This is how we expected things. Collier likely will get the most snaps of all the defensive interior players.
Outside linebacker
Strong side
- Zaven Collins
- Cameron Thomas
- BJ Ojulari
Weak side
- Dennis Gardeck
- Victor Dimukeje
- Jesse Luketa
It will be interesting to see how many snaps Gardeck gets compared to the guys listed as backups.
Inside linebacker
Mike
- Kyzir White
- Krys Barnes
Other position
- Josh Woods
- Owen Pappoe
- Zeke Turner
It appears that Woods won the starting battle over Barnes.
Cornerback
One side
- Marco Wilson
- Christian Matthew
- Kris Boyd
Other side
- Kei’Trel Clark
- Antonio Hamilton
- Starling Thomas
Clark is one of the three starting rookies. It appears Hamilton will be the Cardinals’ nickelback.
Safety
Strong safety
- Budda Baker
Free safety
- Jalen Thompson
- K’Von Wallace
The Cardinals are keeping only three safeties on the roster.
Specialists
Kicker
- Matt Prater
Punter/holder
- Nolan Cooney
Long snapper
- Aaron Brewer
Punt and kick returner
- Greg Dortch
There is no backup returner behind Dortch listed.
