The Arizona Cardinals have made their second selection in the fifth round. They used pick No. 168 to select Auburn LB Owen Pappoe.
Pappoe is a little undersized for the traditional linebacker position at six feet, 225 pounds. But he is a freak athlete. He benched 225 pounds 29 times at the combine, ran the 40 in 4.39 seconds and had explosive jumps (126-inch broad jump and 35.5-inch vertical).
He was a two-time captain.
Last season, he had 91 tackles, two sacks, three tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, an interception and three pass breakups.
