The Arizona Cardinals are nearing the end of one of the most disappointing seasons in recent history. They are 4-10 but entered the season with playoff hopes and even potentially Super Bowl aspirations.
One thing after another has gone wrong, from injuries to things off the field.
That led to team owner Michael Bidwill addressing the team last week leading up to their game in Week 15 against the Denver Broncos, ultimately a 24-15 loss.
This was captured on the latest episode of HBO’s “Hard Knocks.”
“I’m as (expletive) disappointed as everyone else in this room,” he told the players. “I can see who’s really doing it. I can also see where people are sometimes cutting corners.”
The message all last week was giving their best effort.
With three games left, we will see what the team’s effort level is and which players will be retained for next season.
