The Arizona Cardinals are apparently looking at multiple running back prospects in this year’s draft class. After meeting with Pitt running back Israel Abanikanda, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, they were among the teams who met with TCU running back Kendre Miller.
They met with him on Thursday, one of five teams to do so between Wednesday and Thursday.
Miller is 5-fooot-11 and 195 pounds. He did not work out at the NFL combine or at his pro day because he is recovering from a knee injury he suffered in TCU’s semifinal win at the end of the season.
In 2022, Miller rushed for 1,399 yards and 17 touchdowns on 6.2 yards per carry.
The Cardinals could be targeting a running back in this year’s draft. They have James Conner, Corey Clement and second-year pro Keaontay Ingram on the roster currently. The front office and coaching staff that liked Ingram last year might not be as high on him.
Miller is likely a late Day 2 or Day 3 prospect in next month’s draft.
