Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have a long history of public feuds. But when Minaj's half-sister, Ming Li, attended one of Cardi B's recent concerts, the rapper's response suggested she has little appetite for further conflict.
Ming Li, 20, was filmed singing along to Cardi B's songs at the show and was visibly enjoying herself throughout. Footage of her at the concert circulated widely online, drawing attention given the well-documented history between her sister and Cardi B. Ming Li subsequently posted that she loved both artists and saw no reason to choose sides, adding that Minaj's rivalry with Cardi B had nothing to do with her personally and that she had no intention of being drawn into it.
What Did Cardi B Have to Say?
Two days after the concert, Cardi B addressed the situation on social media without naming Ming Li directly. She said she had no issue with anyone attending her shows and noted that Ming Li was still young and finding her own way. Rather than using the moment to reignite tensions with Minaj, Cardi B kept her response short.
'I just don't want no problems. Everything's going really great right now in my life, and I want it to stay that way,' Cardi B said.

Minaj reportedly went live on social media following Cardi B's comments, though no verified account of what was said has emerged. The relationship between the half-siblings has itself been strained. According to Red Media, Ming Li publicly condemned Minaj for comparing Cardi B's children to a 'monkey.' In messages that circulated online, Ming Li maintained that Minaj's feud with Cardi B had nothing to do with her and that she had no intention of being drawn into it.
When Did Cardi B, Nicki Minaj's Feud Start?
Cardi B and Minaj's feud reportedly dates back to 2017. It escalated into a physical altercation at the Harper's Bazaar Icon Party during New York Fashion Week in 2018. Reports at the time claimed Cardi B threw a shoe at Minaj; Cardi B left the venue with a visible injury to her head.
The two artists clashed again last year, following the release of Cardi B's album Am I the Drama? Minaj accused Cardi B of artificially inflating the album's sales figures. Cardi B responded by calling Minaj annoying and using an expletive to describe her. Both artists subsequently deleted their posts.
Back and Forth Insults
In a further exchange on X, Cardi B suggested Minaj should benchmark her commercial performance against artists who emerged at a similar point in their careers, naming Taylor Swift, Drake, and Rihanna.
'Those are the numbers you need to be competing with and you can't cos you doing lower than all of them,' Cardi B wrote.
Minaj, for her part, accused Cardi B of undergoing plastic surgery to resemble her appearance. The exchange ended with Minaj calling on her supporters to boycott Cardi B, while Cardi B publicly urged Minaj to seek professional help.
Ming Li's decision to attend the concert and her open declaration of support for both artists drew considerable attention online precisely because of the feud's history. Cardi B's response suggests she is content to leave it at that.
