Police were left stunned after witnessing a massively mangled car being driven on a major Liverpool road. The white BMW had been involved in a road traffic collision on the M6.
However, police say the car's driver had decided it was safe to continue her journey. She was pulled over after being spotted by officers on Queen's Drive and reported.
The official Twitter page of Merseyside Police's Roads Policing Unit (RPU) posted a picture of the wrecked car on social media on Tuesday morning. The post read: "We were lost for words when we saw this being driven along Queens Drive!

"The driver had been in an RTC on the M6 and decided it was safe for her to continue her journey into Liverpool. She has been reported and the vehicle was recovered and prohibited."
Police arrested another motorist on suspicion of drink driving after a Mini collided with several parked cars on a residential street in Kirkby. The RPU posted an image of the red Mini alongside a picture of a breathalyser displaying a reading of more than twice the legal limit.
The post read: "Kirkby - The driver of this little Mini collided into a number of parked cars. When we arrived the driver blew 71ug on the roadside and then 65ug in Custody, both over the legal limit of 35ug. The driver was arrested and can expect a disqualification at court."
