A dramatic incident captured by a doorbell camera in California last week has left residents in Jurupa Valley shocked. The crash occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. on April 4, when a black sedan was seen speeding down a residential street.
The footage shows the car hitting the curb and then launching into the air over two parked pickup trucks in a driveway before crashing into a house. The vehicle landed on top of one of the trucks after flying over them and smashing through the garage door.
The Riverside County Fire Department reported that the impact caused 'major damage' to the home. Fortunately, the driver managed to exit the vehicle safely following the crash. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and transported the driver to the hospital for treatment of 'minor to moderate' injuries.
Despite the severity of the crash, no one inside the house was injured. Richard Hernandez, who shared the doorbell camera footage with the media, revealed that the driver appeared to have lost control while attempting a high-speed left turn.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safe driving practices and the potential dangers of speeding in residential areas. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine the exact cause of the accident.
