An auto expert has shared a little known feature on key fobs, which has left some drivers baffled.
Speaking to The Mirror, the experts at Dick Lovett, told how the unlock button on your car keys can open the windows on your car.
They said: "Holding the unlock button down opens the windows on your car (or roof, on convertibles), whilst holding down the lock button closes them.

"This is ideal during warmer months to avoid getting straight into a hot car. This trick works on many different models and is not limited to one manufacturer.
"All you'll need to do is hold down the unlock button on the key fob, and your car windows will begin to roll down whilst you stand outside the vehicle. For some cars, you may be required to hold down the unlock button once, release, and then hold it down again before it will work."
We gave the hack a go for ourselves and found that it does indeed work - but it won't work for everyone.
The key fob trick only seems to work on certain cars, for instance, we couldn't get it to work on a Fiat 500, but it did work with a VW Polo.
Other tips shared by Dick Lovett included placing your key fob on your chin to use your head as an "antenna" when you can't find your car in a car park.

The experts explained: "If you’re having trouble finding your car in a busy car park, or are unsure where you parked it, you can place the car key fob on your chin in order to increase the range of the car-retrieval signal.
"Effectively, your head turns into an antenna. As the head contains fluid, it means it’s actually a great conductor and will increase the range of the remote’s signal."
And finally, when your windshield has frosted over, you should put your sun visor down while de-icing.
"It stops the airflow, and therefore means the windshield defrosts faster," they added.
