Cannibal jailed after headless body fell from car joins Vladimir Putin’s kill squad

A twisted cannibal rumbled when a headless and mutilated body fell out of his car has joined the ranks of Vladimir Putin's blood-drenched mercenary squad.

Yegor Komarov said he "nibbled to just take a taste" after a headless and repeatedly stabbed corpse fell out of his car when he crashed his Mitsubishi into a fence in St Petersburg.

He now counts himself among the ranks of the Wagner Group, a battalion of ruthless shadow mercenaries linked to atrocities across the world.

It comes after the private army's leader Yevgeny Prigozhin was filmed inside prison recruiting convicts, including vicious murderers and sex offenders.

Russia Behind Bars Director Olga Romanova said among the prisoners is a "killer" who has cannibalism "in his portfolio".

To sweeten the deal, Putin has offered inmates a personal pardon which will see them set free if they last six months on the frontlines in Ukraine, The Sun reports.

According to a resistance Twitter account, the cannibal is Komarov.

When he was arrested, Komarov - who was 23 at the time - wailed at cops, saying: "What are you doing, I can bite you to death!"

And in a video of him in court, Komarov is heard confessing: "I nibbled to just take a taste.”

When the prosecutor asked him, "are you ready to eat a human again", he answered: "Do you have some?"

During his interrogation he also confessed to the historic murder of a 38-year-old man.

He admitted he killed him "without any reason" but because he was intrigued by how he might taste.

The killer - who said he would prowl through parks at night looking for his victims - said he sliced off a body part before cooking and eating it.

He also murdered the driver of the Mitsubishi that crashed, Arkad Kazyanin, 50.

On September 16, the leader of the infamous Wagner fighting group was filmed offering pardons to hardened Russian criminals if they fight in Ukraine.

Footage shared on social media shows Yevgeny Prigozhin speaking to a large group of men at a prison in Yoshkar-Ola, central Russia.

He said they would have their freedom if they returned alive after six months service but warned they would be shot dead if they desert.

The leader of the Wagner group also said that they were forbidden from looting or having “sexual contact with local women, flora, fauna or men.”

In a strong hint that Russian fighters were expected to blow themselves up rather than allow themselves to be captured, he told them that each man would be issued with two hand grenades.
