Canadian Grand Prix live stream: preview
Damon Hill, Jacques Villeneuve, Michael Schumacher... Max Verstappen? Many an F1 great has come a cropper at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve's famous Wall of Champions, and Sergio Perez, Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton may be hoping to see the Dutchman follow suit as they aim to cut the gap to the runaway championship leader. Practice 1 starts at 6.30pm BST today.
The rest of the schedule for this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix is as follows: Practice 2 is on Friday at 10pm; on Saturday, Final Practice is at 5.30pm, before Qualifying at 9pm; then on Sunday, 18th June, it's lights-out for the Canadian Grand Prix at 7pm.
Verstappen topped every practice session, took pole position, led every lap, set the fastest lap and – of course – stood atop the podium in Barcelona two weeks ago, but the happiest of all the teams was probably Mercedes, whose upgrades appear to have had the desired effect.
With Hamilton's contract negotiations seemingly swinging back and forth depending on how well or badly the most recent race has turned out, Toto Wolff will be crossing everything but his wires for another strong outing, if only to seal the seven-time world champion's services for at least another season or two.
Alonso, who started alongside Verstappen on the front row here a year ago, may be starting to get a little nervous. As well as Hamilton and George Russell, the Spaniard was outpaced by Ferrari's Carlos Sainz last time out, and the general suspicion is that the Aston Martin is no longer the second-fastest car on the grid.
Featuring long, slipstream-friendly straights and hairpin corners, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is built to put on a show, so keep scrolling to find out where to watch a free F1 live stream anywhere in the world for the Canadian Grand Prix.
