Manchester United fans believe they have one foot in the final of the League Cup after defeating Nottingham Forest 3-0 in their semi-final first-leg clash.
Marcus Rashford scored the opener in the sixth minute to bump his season goal tally up to 18. Wout Weghorst grabbed his first goal for the Reds just before the break before Bruno Fernandes wrapped up a comfortable win a minute from time.
United host Forest in next week’s return leg and should they progress, they will face either Newcastle or Southampton in the final in what would be a great chance to end a five-and-a-half-year wait for a trophy.

Several took to Twitter to react to the fantastic result ahead of the return leg. Some are already dreaming of a visit to Wembley for the League Cup final of February 26.
