Hundreds of Rutherglen residents have backed calls to introduce safety measures on a local road after a woman was killed in a tragic accident last week.
The 55-year-old was struck on Croftfoot Road last Thursday, around 6.35pm, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three years ago on the same stretch of road, which is on the border between South Lanarkshire and Glasgow, a car crash left four people injured.
