Mac Jones obviously liked what he saw from the Jacksonville Jaguars defense stifling his former team, the New England Patriots, in the first half of Sunday’s game in London.
After a pass break-up late in the second quarter, Jones, who seemed especially fired up in this game, could be seen making his way over to join in the celebration, via the Boston Herald’s Zack Cox.
Jones was traded to the Jaguars in the offseason after being benched multiple times by the Patriots. The team selected him with the No. 15 pick overall in the 2021 NFL draft. Unfortunately, the former Alabama standout ended up being a bust for the Patriots.
Some might argue that New England failed to surround him with the necessary talent to be successful.

It’s nothing new for a player to want to beat his former team. Jones’ case is different as he’s the backup standing on the sidelines and watching Trevor Lawrence and the rest of the Jaguars offense do the heavy lifting.
