Calvin Ramsay Aberdeen transfer latest as Bologna chief drops big hint Serie A side could pull out

Bologna CEO Claudio Fenucci is not expecting any more January arrivals despite their interest in Calvin Ramsay.

The Italian side have been following the Aberdeen rising star for some time and were ready to make their move.

But Bologna are now expecting to stay as they are for the remainder of the Serie A season - unless there's a big sale.

Fenucci said at the press conference to present new signing Michel Aebischer: "We said some time ago that we would make moves if we had to and we've done that.

"I think the incoming market can be considered closed if no-one leaves."

That doesn't rule out a late move for Ramsay though as there could still be exits, with boss Sinisa Mihajlovic stating that Mitchell Dijks and Andreas Skov Olsen want to leave the club.

The latter was linked with Rangers but Record Sport understands there has been no approach from Ibrox and a deal will not happen in this window.

In addition Corriere dello Sport reports that the Rossoblu are keen to keep the Danish winger, and the CEO was asked about the pair.

Fenucci confirmed: "The boss identified some behaviour he didn't like and he had every right to criticise it.

"Several players can want to leave a club in January, then if they don't they have to do everything to win back a place in the squad and regain the trust of the coach.

"As far as we're concerned the case is closed and now it's up to them to make themselves available. There have been offers for the pair of them, but we also need to see if there's time to find replacements.

"Skov Olsen is one of the most talented players in the squad and finding someone to replace him is not easy.

"Dijks has been injured a lot but if he stays he could be a great alternative (to Aaron Hickey ).

"As far as I'm concerned we can stay as we are but clearly the final decision rests with the coach."
