Callum Davidson has REJECTED Dundee in a sensational eleventh hour development at Dens Park.
The former St Johnstone boss was lined up as their number one target to replace Gary Bowyer after the Englishman was sacked just days after sealing their promotion to the top flight. A fallout with the board was at the centre of that and Dundee chiefs turned to Davidson, who was sacked by Saints earlier this season.
An appointment looked on the brink after positive talks with John Nelms and Gordon Strachan and an announcement appeared set for Wednesday afternoon. But now it is understood that the deal has collapsed after Davidson 'decided overnight' that he doesn't want the job and rejected them on Wednesday morning. Davidson, who famously won a cup double with Saints two seasons ago, will instead wait for other options to open up as he targets a quickfire return to management this summer.
