Call of Duty: Warzone added a new easter egg to snowy Rebirth Island — here's how to get the secret weapon blueprint

An official screenshot of the winter refresh of the Rebirth Island map in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Alongside the Season 02 update, Call of Duty: Warzone has seen a fairly extensive update to the Rebirth Island Resurgence map.

It's actually better than we were expecting, and besides the makeover, there's a new easter egg with a secret blueprint reward.

It can be done solo or in a group, and if in a group, once completed, every member should get the rewards. Besides the blueprint, there's also an emblem to be unlocked a little earlier in the process. Here's what you need to do.

The video above from CovertMF on YouTube walks through every step. I've not actually completed it myself yet; my first attempt I was done dirty by the zone and had to abort at the final stage.

But here's a quick breakdown of the steps you need to follow to complete the Secret Challenge, unlock the Nova 7 Blueprint for the Dravec, and get the Past Secrets Emblem.

How to complete the Rebirth Island Secret Challenge

  1. Drop in at the new bunker to the right of Stronghold and south of Living Quarters in the lower portion of the map.
  2. Grab the Molotov which is available to loot nearby.
  3. Throw the Molotov at the iced over button next to the door.
  4. Go inside the bunker and grab the Computer SSD from a box at the back.
  5. Next, go to the new Turbine POI, and locate a second door at the very bottom.
  6. You need to do the same to the button. If you need another Molotov there's an Ammo Cache at the top of the POI.
  7. Once melted, open the bunker and go inside. Whoever has the SSD has to interact with the computer and note the binary sequence shown.
  1. Now go to the tunnel that leads under Prison and go to the very back. This is the door to the secret Gulag.
  2. Interact with the keypad to activate the sequence.
  3. The five lights need to match the binary sequence from the earlier step. For zero, do nothing, and the light will stop blinking. For one, toggle to make the light turn green.
  4. When the correct sequence is inputted, the doors will unlock and you'll unlock the Past Secrets Emblem.
  5. Inside the Gulag are seven panels with notes next to them that say whether the panel needs to be engaged or disengaged.
  6. Next to the storage unit containing the blueprint and some Specialist packs, activate the switch to begin the sequence.
  7. In order from one to seven, engage the screens that need to be engaged, and leave the ones that don't.

The final step is the hardest, because you don't have long from activating the sequence to go and complete all of the screens. This part is definitely easier in a group.

The best advice is to scope it out first (or use the video above for guidance) and note down which screens need to be engaged and where they are. That way you can more quickly get them done in the limited time you have.

Don't worry if you miss it the first time; after a few seconds the system will reset, and you can try again, starting with the switch to engage the sequence.

When you complete it correctly and in time, the storage unit doors will open, and you'll have yourself the brand-new Nova 7 Blueprint for the Dravec SMG. It also drops four specialist packs, enough for everyone on your team.

Both bunkers and the Gulag are also jam-packed with loot, with orange chests in the former and red chests on hand when you make it to the final step. Particularly useful if you didn't manage to get your loadout in the process of completing the Secret Challenge.

Best of all, you can do this in Resurgence Casual, too, to make it a little easier on you and your team. But that's all there is to it. The steps aren't incredibly hard, but you'll need to be as fast as possible because the zone is always moving in. Now I have to start all over again!
