Cadbury has announced a limited-edition Creme Egg inspired fashion collection worthy of the most exclusive couture runways, designed by the exciting fashion innovator Charlotte Kirkham of Rua Carlota. Each item has been conceived to prevent the wearer from eating their much-loved Cadbury Creme Egg.
Fashionistas keen to bag the attire will be able to do so for free via the Rua Carlota website from 9am on Wednesday, March 9.
The unconventional collab celebrates the How Do You Not Eat Yours competition, which has seen a limited number of half milk and half white chocolate Creme Eggs being hidden in stores across the UK.
Lucky fans who find them just need to resist the urge to eat their winning eggs to claim a cash prize of up to £10,000.
Charlotte Rose Kirkham, Founder of Rua Carlota said: “As a sustainable designer, having built Rua Carlota from my bedroom, it was amazing to be approached for a collaboration with the iconic Cadbury Creme Egg brand.
"Such a unique design brief made producing the limited-edition collection both a challenging and rewarding experience. I can’t wait to see the reaction to the online drops - each of the pieces intertwines the Rua Carlota DNA with a Creme Egg sense of fun, and should definitely make eating a Creme Egg a lot more challenging."
The striking ensemble consists of three items all of which boast an eye-catching, Creme Egg colour palette. Resplendent in gold, purple and crimson, the range includes a fun take on the latest craze, the balaclava, an endless sleeved top and no grip mittens, all of which prevent the wearer from tucking into their Creme Egg. The must-have style item for Creme Egg fans and fashionist’s alike.
Lyndsey Homer, Brand Manager for Cadbury Creme Egg, said: “It’s been fantastic to see how flipping our iconic ‘How Do you Eat Yours?’ tagline on its head has led to the creation of such a unique range. Resisting the urge to eat our delicious prize-winning eggs won’t be easy but at least with these gorgeous Rua Carlota pieces, you’ll look great doing it. With double the potential prize money up for grabs compared to last year, this is surely the season’s must have style!”
Each winning Creme Egg has been handmade by Cadbury’s expert team of Chocolatiers before being individually hidden in major retailers across the country. The specific locations are being kept so secret, that even Cadbury don’t know where they are, so there is only one way to find them.
