BWF puts interim ban on new 'unplayable' spin serve

NEW DELHI: Badminton's world governing body (BWF) on Friday put a temporary ban on the new 'spin serve' until further consultation and the shuttlers can't use the serve in all its international tournaments effective immediately.

With the new 'spin serve' creating a flutter in international badminton, BWF issued a statement saying, "BWF Council has approved a proposal for an 'experimental variation' to the Laws of Badminton to forbid the use of the new 'spin serve' effective immediately until 29 May 2023."
