Busy pub that 'closed suddenly' is up for sale

A pub which closed its doors unexpectedly last year has been listed for sale.

The Victoria in Southport boasts a prominent location on the town's promenade and had a packed beer garden through the summer months.

According to Lancs Live, the venue shut suddenly in July 2022 after surviving the Covid-19 pandemic. It is understood the closure was linked to a hike in rent, although owner Thwaites declined to comment at the time.
