Businesses across Britain have announced that they will close today as a mark of respect for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, which has now been declared a bank holiday.
In guidance released by the Government, the public have been told that there will be "no obligation to suspend business" during the national mourning period.
Some businesses "may wish to consider closing or postponing events, especially on the day of the state funeral" at their own discretion.
