Business festival aims to boost growth for start-ups in County Durham

A business festival in County Durham is aiming to give promising start-ups support and advice on growth.

The third annual Durham Ambitious Business Start-ups (DABS) Festival of Enterprise will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Durham on October 13, offering advice from industry experts. The event has the theme of New Start-Ups in a New World and will focus on entrepreneurs who have pivoted their business models to take advantage of the opportunities in the new economic environment that has arisen after the pandemic.

The festival is part of a programme supported by the European Regional Development Fund that offers support and advice to high-quality start-ups in County Durham start trading and during their fist year of operation. Delivered by Business Durham with partners Tedco, UMi and Candle Digital, the programme provides packages for both early-stage companies and people with business ideas that have not yet formally launched.
