Business Brief (Aug. 3): Chinese AI Models Sweep Top Five in Global API Calls

Chinese AI models have swept the top five spots globally for API (application programming interface) calls, according to the latest data from global AI model aggregation platform OpenRouter.

Xiaomi’s MiMo-V2.5 took the top spot, with two products from DeepSeek also making the top five. Tencent’s Hy3 saw a surge of more than 999% after being open-sourced.
