A bus service was cancelled as a result of stones being thrown at a bus by teenagers. The bus operator said it was considering removing the service from the area.
Newport Bus made an announcement saying it would stop a service through Bettws as children had been throwing stones at vehicles. The company said it was concerned for customers and staff as a result of the vandalism.
Releasing a statement on Twitter, a spokesperson from Newport Bus said: "Due to youths throwing stones at vehicles in Bettws the 1542 service from the bus station will not operate. Should we have any further incidents we will consider removing the service from the area for the rest of todays service to protect our staff and customers."
It is not known whether the anti social behaviour continued or whether the service was cancelled for the day.
