Burglars in north London make off with high-value watch and jewellery

Detectives investigating three burglaries in north London enclaves have shared images of stolen watches and jewellery.

Four male suspects entered the home of a man in Muswell Hill while he was inside on a work call.

They searched rooms and stole valuables including timepieces from Bvlgari, Baume & Mercier and a Breitling first edition. Gold rings were among the haul at 4.30pm on Tuesday, March 28.

Detective Constable Rosie Arbuthnot, investigating the linked crimes, said: “The victim heard noises and come out of his office.

“He confronted the burglars and they then ran out of the house and drove off in a black Mercedes.

“He was not harmed, but has lost a number of items of value and we are investigating to try to identify and locate the suspects.

“The Breitling first edition watch is distinctive and has a known serial number, while the baby rings are given as a birth gift for Korean children, so these hold significant personal value to the victim.”

The Metropolitan Police believe this crime was linked to two incidents in north west London where four males were seen leaving in a black Mercedes.

Both were within the N20 postcode, covering Whetstone and Totteridge, between 3.45pm and 5pm on the same date.

Watches and jewellery were taken in the first raid and no property was stolen in the second, where the suspects ran away when spotted in a garden.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact police via 101, quoting 5284/28MAR23, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
