A head midwife has been sacked after she created an 'awful atmosphere' on the ward where she worked.
An employment tribunal heard that 'bully' Jennifer Stillman lost her job after she referred to overweight women as 'bloaters' and 'whales on a bed'. The panel heard that she also made derogatory comments about her fellow staff, reported Wales Online.
The hospital worker reduced a student midwife to tears, and caused others to feel like they wanted to leave the profession as they worked under her. She was also accused of making a racist comment - but later claimed she said 'back' and not 'black'.
