Arsenal fans will be given the opportunity to look at their ideal transfer target on Tuesday evening when England play Germany in Munich in the UEFA Nations League. Serge Gnabry is expected to play for Germany having recently been liked to Arsenal.
More interestingly, Bukayo Saka could also feature for England, meaning Arsenal fans will get to see players in their potential dream attacking line-up for seasons ahead. Saka played at left-wing back in the Three Lions’ last fixture against Hungary which means both the youngster and Gnabry could be directly against each other.
Gnabry has an excellent chance to remind Arsenal fans in England what a quality player he is after leaving north London in 2016. This match could be the perfect audition for the German, especially with Saka also on the pitch.

The Bayern Munich winger’s availability in the window emerged earlier in the season after German outlet Bild had claimed that Gnabry and his representatives are demanding £12.5million-per-year in wages to sign a new contract. But Bayern are yet to agree to these terms, which has put talks currently on hold.
This was followed by German news outlet Sport1's claim that Gnabry’s desire to leave Bayern is not only about the money. The player wants to feel like he has an important role in the team, and wishes to play in a more central position rather than on the wing.
The Gunners have been alerted to this news as Bild reported that Arsenal were interested in bringing Gnabry back to the club this summer but their failure to qualify for the Champions League could make any move harder to secure. However, he is a free agent in 2023, and Arsenal can also explore that option.
The German would be an excellent acquisition at the end of the season, as his versatility could prove key for Mikel Arteta. There is certainly unfinished business for Gnabry, which was proved when he dropped a potential transfer hint by saying he is "Always a Gunner". According to CIES football observatory, he would currently cost around the £60million mark, which is a deal that could certainly be worth the cost.
The German winger still has a lot of admiration for Arsenal, which was proven with a tweet claiming that 'London is Arsenal’s' after Gnabry’s Bayern Munich side dismantled Tottenham 7-2 in the Champions League in 2019. He has also been pictured in Arsenal shirts on multiple occasions in recent times, which also highlights his love for the club.
Tuesday evening’s fixture between England and Germany will allow Arsenal fans to witness Saka and Gnabry on the same pitch against each other, but supporters will be hoping that it is the last time they are not wearing the same shirt. The match has created a great opportunity for Gnabry to show why Edu should do what it takes to set up a return for the German to the Emirates Stadium.
