A half-finished, castle-like 'millionaire's mansion' on the coast, where work started out of nowhere last winter, is being marketed for sale.
The designs for the coastal villa look like they've been plucked from an episode of Grand Designs. The land for sale is located on Wellington Road, in New Brighton, and the proposed home is currently half-built.
CGIs of the finished property are reminiscent of a seafront fortress for the 21st century and the listing from Bradshaw, Farnham & Lea hail the designs as an "architectural masterpiece" oozing "grandeur and luxury living".

The ECHO reported in November 2021 that building work had started on the site, with plans submitted to Wirral Council back in 2017. Permission for the new build was granted in early 2018.
Some joked that it looked like a "Bond villain lair". It has been inspired by Fort Perch Rock, in New Brighton, a former defence structure at the mouth of Liverpool Bay which was constructed in the 1820s.
Andrew Smith Architects, which put the plans forward to Wirral Council, said in its original design and access statement: "This unique contemporary dwelling house announces a confidence and individual statement of New Brighton's rebirth and regeneration following decades of previous decline and neglect."
Last year Wallasey was named as one of the most desirable postcodes in the country according to Rightmove and people reported homes being snapped up within hours of being listed.
On entering, designs for the house show and open plan space with a sunken lounge. The kitchen, located in one of the towers, comes complete with a balcony - the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine after work.
Outside would be the perfect for entertaining and would look more at home in a mansion on the hills of Los Angeles.
The floor to ceiling glass windows in both the lounge and the bedroom give sweeping views of the waterfront and fill the space with natural light.
The is potential for four bedrooms and four bathrooms, the master of which also has a balcony to relax on.
The plot is being marketed by Bradshaw, Farnham & Lea with price available on application. Agents said rendering is due to take place at the property "soon".
