The Minnesota Vikings need to address the wide receiver position as one of their top needs in the upcoming offseason. Fortunately, the draft will provide them with an opportunity to do so.
On Friday, Browns Wire’s Cory Kinnan released his latest mock draft, which has the Vikings selecting TCU wide receiver Quentin Johnston.
Johnston is a speedy, big-bodied receiver who runs good routes. His route tree is curretnly limited due to playing in the Air Raid offense, but there is room to grow. He is a natural receiver with good pass-catching abilities and the potential to gain yards after the catch.
If the Vikings select Johnston, he will have the chance to develop his skills and reach his full potential, without the pressure of being a true number-one receiver right away. Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson would help alleviate that burden from him.
