Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald announced they will play their starters in the final preseason matchup against the Cleveland Browns.
Their starting defense & offense are expecting to face the Browns’ first team on both sides of the ball. Kevin Stefanski announced after Wednesday’s practice that starters will also play in the matchup, but did not elaborate on how much playing time they will receive.
While the Browns haven’t announced who specifically will play in the game, almost all active players are expected to receive snaps. One player who is still unconfirmed to play is Browns starting quarterback Deshaun Watson. Reports of arm soreness after practice on Wednesday left fans concerned that they would not see him play before Week 1.
Today, he had a full practice with no reports of concerns and higher hopes of seeing him in action. If Watson cannot go, the Browns are expected to play Jameis Winston for the majority of the first half.
This will give the Browns a true test before their much anticipated week 1 matchup vs the Dallas Cowboys.
