Browns Week 1 depth chart with few surprises, no injuries noted

The Cleveland Browns face off with the Carolina Panthers in Week 1. The game will be billed as QB Baker Mayfield’s revenge game but it is more than that for the Browns. The team hopes to show that they can lean on their run game, make creative plays in the passing attack and build on the second-half performance on defense last year.

Carolina’s season is all about figuring out if Mayfield is their starter of the future and is HC Matt Rhule the guy to lead the way.

For Cleveland, training camp and preseason have been all about making sure the team arrives to their first game healthy. In the rest versus rust conversation, the administration in Berea leaned heavily on rest.

With that in mind, that the team’s first depth chart does not show anyone in brackets (which means they are injured) seems to have met that goal.

Beyond that, not a lot of surprises stand out on the list except for Demetric Felton labeled as a wide receiver:

Felton also represents the team’s kick and punt returner as well.

If the Browns can keep their key players healthy and not have too many injuries at one position, the team is deep and talented at most positions. If Anthony Schwartz, David Bell or Michael Woods II can step up as the team’s third receiver, a lot of questions on offense will be answered as well.

For now, Cleveland is healthy as they prepare for Mayfield’s Panthers.
