The future of the linebacker position for the Cleveland Browns outside of Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is a major question mark. Though this year’s linebacker class isn’t the greatest or most deep, it has some intriguing prospects with great physical gifts. The Browns will likely extend Owusu-Koramoah, but getting him a true running mate should be a priority in the draft.
Junior Colson and Edgerrin Cooper are the two guys at the top of the Browns list, with both likely in Cleveland’s range on day two of the draft. We haven’t seen them invest a ton in the position, but with no real roster holes this year, they could invest in the overall future of the room early.
Cleveland could instead be in the market for an old-school thumper-style linebacker like Ohio State’s Tommy Eichenberg. You can watch this episode as we discuss all these names in more detail by clicking here, or listen to the audio-only version by clicking here.
