The former second-round pick out of Notre Dame has had an impressive season for the Cleveland Browns this season. Linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has truly been one of the best-run defenders in the league this year. His sideline and sideline speed mixed with his intentions allow him to cover a lot of ground in a small amount of time.
According to PFF, Owusu-Koramoah has a 12.8 percent run-stop rate which ranks him second in the NFL. His trigger once he figures out it is a run and comes crashing downhill happens in a ridiculously small amount of time.
Last year the linebackers struggled to stop the run in part because of how terrible their defensive tackles were last season. This year they have kept Owusu-Koramoah clean and it has allowed him to play his best brand of football this year with Jim Schwartz. Owusu-Koramoah has had a legitimate breakout season for the Browns in 2023.
