It seems the impressive performances from the defensive backs of the Cleveland Browns didn’t go unnoticed around the league. Former All-Pro cornerback and current Philadelphia Eagle Darius Slay commented on the performance saying they were “locked in.”
Jim Schwartz was able to be creative in his rush packages in large part because he was able to trust his defensive backs to be where they should be. It was refreshing to watch the group communicate and not have blow assignments and coverages as we saw so often last year under Joe Woods.

The Steelers’ offensive line had Kenny Pickett under duress all day long and if the Browns’ defensive line can get after Pickett this week then Cleveland has a great chance to have their first 2-0 start in 30 years on Monday night.
