After beating the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11, the Cleveland Browns already sit with over an 80 percent chance to make the playoffs this season. They now look to take on the Denver Broncos this week with another opportunity to see those chances take another massive jump with their fourth straight win.
According to Sumer Sports, they have the Browns already treading the line around 90 percent in terms of their probability of making the playoffs. With a win over the Broncos, however, that number will jump to 93 percent with six games to go on the season.
Only the Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens, and Kansas City Chiefs have a higher probability of making the playoffs than the Browns as we sit before their Week 12 showdown in Denver. All-in-all, just seven teams have better chances at locking down a postseason spot than the Browns.
This is a testament to the coaching in Cleveland and evidence that head coach Kevin Stefanski needs a new contract given all of the injuries the Browns have faced.
