Offensive guard Colby Gossett spent the 2019 season with the Cleveland Browns, hanging out on their practice squad. Now four years later, Gossett returns to Cleveland with a chance to win a spot on the roster in training camp as the team signed him to a deal today as NFL free agency picks back up. He even spent time on the training camp roster in 2021 as well.
Since departing Cleveland in 2019, Gossett has spent time with the Atlanta Falcons, even starting four games in 2022 (appearing in 31 games for them over the last two seasons). Unfortunately for Gossett, the Browns have a great deal of depth along the interior of their offensive line and even added to it this weekend with the selection of Ohio State center Luke Wypler in the sixth round.
He will, however, get a lottery ticket to camp with the chance to show the Browns have he’s got.
