Brother's heartbreaking tribute to 'beloved little brother' after young man killed in crash

The devastated family of a young man who died in a crash have paid a heartbreaking tribute to him after he passed away in hospital. Finnley Jones, 20, died earlier today after suffering serious injuries in a car crash in Wales

The crash occurred around 8:30pm last Monday, with Jones being rushed to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, in Bodelwyddan for immediate treatment. The Welsh Air Ambulance then confirmed the patient was then flown in air ambulance from Ysbyty Glan Clwyd to a specialist hospital in Stoke, reports North Wales Online.

Finnley's brother, Luke, paid tribute to his 'beloved little brother' who passed away in the early hours of this morning. Luke says he never thought in a 'million years' he would have to share the news of his brothers passing in a week of 'pure hell'.

However, he was reassured that his brother 'never gave up' or 'felt any pain'. The sibling of the deceased then said he was thankful for all the messages his family had been given this week.

He then shared that Finnley would have wanted everyone to 'stay strong for him' in the wake of his passing. Luke said: "I would never have thought in a million years I would ever have to write this post and there is no easy way of saying it either but my little brother our beloved Finnley Jones has passed away early hours this morning.

The crash happened on the A470 (Aaran Lennox/North Wales Live)

"It's been a week of pure hell for myself and my family but Finnley never gave up and he never felt any pain!!

"On behalf of my family we can't thank you enough for all the kind messages and support you have all given us this week, you have all been amazing! And I know Finnley would want everyone to stay strong for him!!

"We love you so much Finnley Jones words can not describe and we will never forget you mate - Rest in peace brother and we will see you again!"

The crash led to the road being shut in both directions for more than five hours. North Wales Police issued an appeal shortly after the collision, and said: "Police are appealing for witnesses or dash cam footage following a single vehicle RTC this evening on the A470 Conwy Road, Llandudno.

"The collision occurred at 20.30hrs and involved a black Vauxhall Corsa travelling southbound on the A470 towards the black cat roundabout. One male received serious injuries.

"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference number B161618."
