Brooklyn Beckham has hit out at rumours of a feud between wife Nicola Peltz and mum Victoria Beckham, after he was pictured leaving a Los Angeles restaurant alone.
The aspiring chef, 23, dined at Cecconi's West Hollywood with his 27-year-old wife on Sunday, but was later spotted sitting by himself on a curb outside the Italian restaurant. Brooklyn was tapping away on his phone while he waited for his car.
In an Instagram Story on Monday, Brooklyn reshared a post by Nicola which seemed to clarify the situation. The actress posted a blurry picture of herself as she appeared to be leaving the same restaurant.
Alongside the snap, she wrote: "When you exit out the alley to avoid the paps and do it well enough that they think @brooklynpeltzbeckham left alone."
Brooklyn added: "Don't believe everything you read."
The couple's explanation comes after fashion designer Victoria, 48, congratulated her son on a recent joint interview with his wife but failed to mention her daughter-in-law.
There has been speculation of a growing feud between Posh Spice and Nicola for months, with the once gushing Instagram posts about one another becoming curiously quiet.
And now, Victoria shared an image from Brooklyn and Nicola's Vogue Hong Kong spread writing: "So proud!!!" while tagging just her eldest son and the publication.
Victoria's husband David Beckham also uploaded an image of his eldest child from the shoot and wrote: "Looking good Bust," with Victoria then sharing his post.
It has been reported tensions can be traced back to Nicola and Brooklyn's wedding.
The couple got married back in April and rumours about the wedding have circulated ever since, with claims from Nicola never intending to wear a dress designed by her mother-in-law to the star storming out of the reception over Victoria 'stealing' her first dance song.
Amid the ongoing speculation, Victoria is reportedly 'heartbroken', as her fallout with Nicola has caused 'significant strain' on her relationship with Brooklyn.
Mum-of-four Victoria is said to be 'distraught and fearful', according to Mail Online.
And other sources have claimed it's been 'very difficult' for the former Spice Girl to watch her son grow close to Nicola's family.
"I think it's very difficult for Victoria, coming from a tight-knit family, to see her son grow close to his in-laws," one source told new! magazine.
Speaking to Variety, Brooklyn and Nicola recently addressed rumours, with the Brit saying: "I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that.
"They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good."
