Brooklyn Beckham was reportedly called “David” twice at his wedding to Nicola Peltz.
The budding chef, 27, married the US actress, 31, in a lavish ceremony at her billionaire family’s private beachfront compound in Palm Beach, Florida, in April 2022.
The ceremony was years before Brooklyn lashed out at his family in a now-infamous scathing statement on Instagram and was attended by both sides of the family.
Now, it has been claimed he was left “humiliated” at his own nuptials by the rabbi conducting the ceremony accidentally calling him by his football legend father’s name.
The rabbi called Brooklyn “David” during the couple’s vows before “stuttering and asking for forgiveness”, saying he was a “soccer fan”, a guest claimed to The Cut.
He then allegedly made the mistake a second time in a moment that a witness described as “uncomfortably Oedipal”.
Guests who heard the reported blunder “laughed it off”, according to the outlet.
The Standard has contacted Brooklyn’s representative for comment.
This is not the first set of accusations to plague the Beckham-Peltz wedding.
While condemning his parents in a lengthy statement earlier this year, Brooklyn claimed his mother Victoria pulled out of making Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute and danced “inappropriately” with him at the wedding.
He wrote: “My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped.
“My mum cancelled making Nicola's dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.”
He then described Victoria’s apparent dancing with him.

“In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead,” he wrote.
“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.
“We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.”
DJ Fat Tony, who performed at the wedding brunch, later backed up Brooklyn’s claims, saying Marc Anthony told Brooklyn to put his hands on Victoria’s hips and that the dance was “really awkward”.
The former Spice Girl also “wrapped her arms around Brooklyn” and “nuzzled into his neck,” according to Page Six.
The Standard contacted Victoria’s representatives at the time.
Brooklyn also criticised David, claiming that despite travelling to the UK for David’s 50th birthday, repeated requests to meet beforehand were ignored.
The influencer said he was eventually offered a meeting on the condition that Nicola was not invited.
He claimed his parents are all about “Brand Beckham” and controlling the public narrative and said he has no plans to reconcile with them.
The former photographer recently removed a tattoo tribute to David and has reportedly told his parents to only contact him through a lawyer.
