Brooke Shields is set to star in Netflix's upcoming romantic comedy, Mother of the Bride, where she plays Lana, the mother of the bride, Emma, portrayed by Miranda Cosgrove. The movie follows the unexpected turn of events when Emma announces her wedding in Thailand, just a month away, to the son of a man who had a significant impact on Lana's past.
Shields, in addition to her acting role, is also a producer of the film and credits the support of director Mark Waters, Netflix, and the Director of Original Film, Christina Rogers, for championing stories of women over 40 in romantic comedies. The movie is set to stream on Netflix on May 9, just in time for Mother's Day.
