Bronny James Stole One of LeBron’s Best Moves in His USC Debut and Left Basketball Fans in Awe

Bronny James, the eldest son of Lakers star LeBron James, made his long-awaited debut for USC in the Trojans’ matchup against Long Beach State on Sunday at the Galen Center in Los Angeles.

In Bronny’s first in-game action, he channeled his father’s defensive prowess when he came up with an incredible chase-down block on a fast break with under five minutes to play in the first half. LBSU guard Isa Silva grabbed the ball on a deflected Trojans’ pass and immediately pushed the ball upcourt before he delivered a perfect bounce pass to the left wing for the 49ers’ Jadon Jones, who went up for a layup.

However, Jones was met by Bronny, who leaped off two legs to slap an emphatic block off the backboard before Trojans guard Kobe Johnson grabbed the rebound and brought the ball up the court for USC’s next possession.

James’s first chase-down swat left college basketball fans in awe of his athleticism. The 19-year-old finished the first half of his first game with one block, one assist and one rebound.

The elder James has delivered multiple chase-down blocks in his impressive NBA career.

Bronny’s first career start comes after the teenager suffered cardiac arrest during a team practice in July.
