Just eight games into the Sean Payton era, Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has hauled in six touchdown catches. That ties the career-high total Sutton set in his second season in 2019 (16 games)
Sutton is now on pace to double his career high and he is currently tied for the third most receiving touchdowns in the league (Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins leads the league with eight touchdowns).
Sutton has now scored in three straight games, making him the first Broncos receiver to do so since the late Demaryius Thomas in 2017.
The 28-year-old receiver has proven to be a reliable red-zone threat for quarterback Russell Wilson. So far this year, Sutton has hauled in 33 receptions for 380 yards. His 71.7% catch percentage (33 receptions on 46 targets) is the best of his career, with the previous high being 59.2% in 2021.
