The Denver Broncos selected UCLA tight end Greg Dulcich in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft on Friday evening (80th overall).
The Broncos traded back from the 75th overall pick with the Houston Texans in exchange for the 80th overall pick and pick 162 (5th round), giving general manager George Paton 10 picks in the 2022 draft.
Dulcich averaged 17.3 yards per catch in 2021 for the Bruins, leading the Pac 12 with 725 yards receiving, along with five touchdowns. In 2020, Dulcich led all Pac 12 tight ends with 19.9 yards per catch according to Sports-Reference.
Dulcich (6-4, 243 pounds) is comparable to former Denver big-man tight end Noah Fant, according to 9News’ Mike Klis.
Dulcich ran a 4.69 40-yard dash in at the combine earlier this offseason, also participating in this year’s Senior Bowl. He was the third-ranked tight end according to DraftWire’s Luke Easterling, and 69th in DraftWire’s top 300 prospects.
Next pick up: 96th overall (third round)
