The Russell Wilson era is over in Denver, but his legacy lives on.
Wilson went viral on social media for his signature “Let’s Ride” catchphrase with the Broncos. It eventually reached a point of fans begging him to stop saying it even after losses (he eventually did stop).
Denver fans who were traumatized by the catchphrase freaked out when new quarterback Bo Nix said “Let’s … go!” after being drafted by the team in April. That was a close call.
The Broncos moved on from Wilson this offseason and fans have moved on from the catchphrase, but marketing departments still have some leftover merchandise to sell.
Earlier this year, the team’s official store emailed fans a promotion for a “Let’s Ride” Broncos hat. It was not well-received by fans on Reddit.
The hat does not appear to be available anymore, but there’s a t-shirt (affiliate link) and hoodie (affiliate link) still listed on Fanatics, and the same items are listed on NFL Shop and the team’s official online store.
Wilson now plays for the Steelers, who will visit Denver in Week 2. Perhaps the phase will be revisited for that game.
