When we look back upon the Denver Broncos’ 2022 campaign, almost all of the attention and focus will center around the disappointment of Russell Wilson’s offense. After all, through 11 games, the aging quarterback is on an approximate pace to finish with fewer touchdown passes than restrooms in his Denver area mansion.
But that still might not be the low point for Wilson and Denver — especially after it lost 23-10 to the lowly Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
With Wilson’s offense sputtering against (another) of the NFL’s worst teams, some frustration seemed to boil over for the Broncos’ stellar defense. As Wilson came onto the field late in the second half to try and rally his team, defensive lineman Mike Purcell appeared to have some choice words for the struggling quarterback.
Oh yeah, Purcell did NOT look happy:

Without microphones, knowing precisely what Purcell said to Wilson there is impossible. However, knowing the Broncos are probably a legitimate AFC playoff contender with even average quarterback play, it might be safe to assume he wasn’t happy with Wilson and the rest of the Denver offensive output.
Note: Wilson finished 19-of-35 with 142 yards and one late garbage-time touchdown pass, the 300th of his career! Uh, woo!?
There are six games left in Wilson’s debut season in Denver. At this rate, the Broncos might be better served to punt the rest of this year and pack it in to start over in 2023.
NFL fans had lots of speculation about what Purcell actually said to Wilson on the sideline

Mike Purcell snapping on Russell Wilson while Nathaniel Hackett pretends not to hear what’s happening right behind him is the perfect microcosm of where the Broncos are at.

I wish I could know what Mike Purcell said to Russell Wilson, but you know the locker room conversation will be “it’s all love, man.”
