Broncos clinched a 6th-straight losing season on Sunday

Different coaches, same results.

The Denver Broncos have had four different head coaches since they won Super Bowl 50. Three of them have delivered losing seasons.

After leading the team to a Super Bowl victory, Gary Kubiak coached one more season and went 9-7 in 2016, barely missing the playoffs. Kubiak then stepped away from coaching for health reasons and the Broncos have spiraled down a losing trend since then.

First, the team brought in Vance Joseph, who went 11-21, delivering back-to-back losing seasons. Denver then replaced Joseph with Vic Fangio, who went 19-30 with three-straight losing seasons.

This offseason, the Broncos switched to Nathaniel Hackett. His squad dropped to 3-9 on Sunday, ensuring a sixth-straight losing season in Denver. Even if the Broncos win their final five games, the team will finish below .500.

A franchise once known for its Super Bowl history and winning tradition has now established a tradition of losing. That’s something the club’s new ownership group will undoubtedly look to change this offseason.
