Brits typically use their mobile phones for 95 minutes a day, or the equivalent of two days a month – with almost half (43%) admitting they often fall down a “scrolling rabbit hole” and find it impossible to stop.
A poll of 2,000 adults found that less than a quarter (23%) actually keep track of their screen time – with the most common uses for their device being to browse the internet, send emails, and message family or friends.
And the habit of “second-screening” is on the rise, as nearly three-quarters (72%) admit to using their phone while watching TV – with one in ten saying they do so all the time.
