Britney Spears 'hasn't given up on having a baby with husband Sam Asghari' after the couple's tragic miscarriage, a source close to the pop star has revealed.
The 40-year-old singer, who has two sons from her second marriage to Kevin Federline, tragically lost her "miracle third baby" in May last year.
Gimme More singer Britney has been open about wanting to have a family with 28-year-old Sam.
"After her miscarriage, which she was outspoken about, she had a lot of support from her fans telling her to not give up on this," a source has said.
Speaking of Britney's positive messages, they told HollywoodLife: "This was so helpful to her to learn that so many others have gone through what she went through."
She and Sam got engaged in September last year, announcing their pregnancy in April – but sadly in May, they revealed the miscarriage.
Posting on social media at the time, the couple said: "It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy.
"This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along. However, we were overly excited to share the good news."
"We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family," the statement continued. "We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment."
They then went on to tie the knot at a star-studded ceremony in June earlier this year and now another insider claims all Britney wants to do is 'move on' and that a 'baby is part of that plan'.
"In recent months, she has had to deal with a lot of negative energy surrounding her family and she really wants nothing more than to be able to move on," they told the US outlet.
"They both believe that having this baby will bring so much light and love into their lives. Britney has wanted to give Sam a child for many years, which she has discussed.
"She thinks that he will be the most amazing daddy ever and she cannot wait to see him holding their child in his arms. She is comforted by the thoughts of this."
The couple's new baby would be Britney's third child, she shares sons Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden James, 16, with ex Kevin Federline.
